The actress shared a story on Instagram and said, "Our news channels are a joke. I am so tired of these over-dramatic scenes and sound effects, screaming, and shouting. What are you doing? Just do your job, report the facts as they are."

Continuing her point, the actress further said, "For God's sake, stop sensationalizing war and creating panic among people who are already worried. People, just find a reliable news source and stick to it. Stop watching this nonsense in the name of news."

The Defense Ministry advised avoiding media outlets

Let us tell you that the Ministry of Defense advised media outlets and digital platforms to avoid real-time coverage on social media accounts, saying, "All media channels, digital platforms, and individuals are advised to avoid live coverage or real-time reporting of defense operations and movement of security forces. Disclosure of such sensitive or source-based information can jeopardize operational effectiveness and endanger lives.

The Defence Ministry further added, "Past incidents such as the Kargil War, 26/11 attacks and #Kandahar hijacking underline the risks of premature reporting. As per Section 6(1)(p) of the Cable Television Networks (Amendment) Rules, 2021, periodic briefings by designated officials are permitted only during counter-terrorism operations. All stakeholders are urged to exercise caution, sensitivity and responsibility in coverage while maintaining the highest standards in serving the nation".

Sensitive areas like Jammu, Udhampur, Kishtwar, Akhnoor, Samba, Srinagar, Anantnag, Barmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar, Chandigarh, Mohali, Jalandhar, Amritsar, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Bhuj and Kutch faced prolonged blackout due to security concerns.
